As electric vehicles continue to move into the mainstream, the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt arrives with a clear mission: make EV ownership accessible without sacrificing technology, range, or everyday usability. Exterior Design
The 2027 Bolt evolves to be even more eye-catching, showing off bold metallic colors like Marina Blue and Relic Green. The RS gets its own vibrant option—Atomic Yellow. New front fascias with an intricately designed and textured “grille”, gloss black mirrors, and slim LED daytime running lights. Lower LED headlights are complemented by higher taillights. The RS trim gets its own vivacious styling inside and out for a sportier look and feel.
Powertrain
Every 2027 Bolt is powered by a single electric motor producing 210 hp. Instant torque delivery provides smooth, responsive acceleration around town and on the highway, while Chevrolet's latest battery technology contributes to an EPA-estimated 262 miles of electric driving range. Charging is significantly improved as well. The standard NACS charge port provides access to a broad charging network, including Tesla Superchargers. Using DC public fast charging, the Bolt can charge from 10% to 80% in a GM-estimated 25 minutes, making longer trips far more convenient. Chevrolet also backs the battery with an 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty.
Performance
The Bolt's compact footprint and low center of gravity make it exceptionally maneuverable in urban environments. Whether navigating downtown Indianapolis traffic or commuting through Hancock County, the Bolt feels agile and composed. Unlike many compact crossovers, its electric architecture allows for immediate throttle response and quiet operation. The Bolt's strength lies in efficiency, responsiveness, and confidence-inspiring daily usability. Its compact dimensions also make parking and maneuvering in tighter spaces remarkably easy.
Interior
Chevrolet has thoroughly modernized the Bolt's cabin. An all-new center console creates additional storage and improves usability, while premium materials elevate the overall experience. RS models boast Black Evotex®--Chevy’s durable leather alternative with a soft-touch finish—and red contrast stitching, seating surfaces, Interior flexibility remains a key strength. The cargo area features an underfloor storage compartment providing up to 4 cu. ft. of hidden storage space, ideal for charging equipment and smaller personal items. Combined with versatile rear-seat functionality, the Bolt delivers practicality well beyond what its compact dimensions suggest.
Technology
Technology is central to the Bolt experience. An 11.3” infotainment touchscreen and 11” Driver Information Center provide crisp graphics and intuitive controls. The real highlight is Google built-in, which lets you access real-time navigation, voice commands, entertainment through Google Play, and connected services simply by saying, "Hey Google." Available wireless phone charging further enhances convenience. Available Super Cruise® driver assistance technology makes the Bolt one of the most affordable vehicles to offer hands-free driving capability on compatible roads. Available HD Surround Vision adds further confidence during parking and low-speed maneuvering.
Safety Features
Every 2027 Bolt comes equipped with more than 20 standard safety and driver-assistance technologies. Standard features include Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Reverse Automatic Braking. These systems can step in, gently steer for you, or even stop the vehicle to help prevent accidents. Available technologies expand protection further with Super Cruise®, Driver Attention Assist, HD Surround Vision, Traffic Sign Recognition which projects speed limit changes onto the windshield, and Rear Pedestrian Alert, helping make the Bolt one of the most confidence-inspiring compact EVs available today.
